The Child & Family Center  is a nonprofit foundation that began more than 30 years ago with the goal of providing the parents of special needs and emotionally disordered children with special training and resources.
As the program grew, so did the scope of the parents’ needs, and juvenile delinquency prevention courses and substance abuse prevention and recovery programs were added. Eventually, the Child & Family Center served nearly 6,000 children and adults annually, with preschool services, charter school services, domestic violence counseling, crisis intervention, suicide prevention and housing assistance.
