The Child & Family Center thanks No More Poverty and its cofounders, the Omidi brothers, for their support. The Child & Family Center provides residents of Santa Clarita, California access to mental health resources, child abuse prevention assistance, and educational programs.
Santa Clarita-based family assistance organization the Child & Family Center is thankful for the support of Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi and their charity, No More Poverty. The Child & Family Center is a nonprofit aid foundation that provides troubled families and children help with substance abuse recovery, mental and emotional health disorders, domestic violence and other crises. “The Child & Family Center provides children and adults the opportunity to live in healthy, supportive relationships that encourage them to become responsible, caring citizens,” says Cheryl Jones, Vice President of the Child & Family Center. “With the help of the Omidi brothers and No More Poverty, we anticipate great success in providing Santa Clarita with mental health, behavioral and education services to children, adults and families for many years to come.”
The Child & Family Center (http://www.childfamilycenter.org) is a nonprofit foundation that began more than 30 years ago with the goal of providing the parents of special needs and emotionally disordered children with special training and resources. As the program grew, so did the scope of the parents’ needs, and juvenile delinquency prevention courses and substance abuse prevention and recovery programs were added. Eventually, the Child & Family Center served nearly 6,000 children and adults annually, with preschool services, charter school services, domestic violence counseling, crisis intervention, suicide prevention and housing assistance.
No More Poverty (http://www.nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization (with a pending 501(c)3 application) founded by the Omidi brothers. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas. Join us in the fight for No More Poverty.
