No More Poverty along with co-founders Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi seek a youth football program to sponsor.

FootballFootball season is just around the corner and the Omidi brothers would love to sponsor a motivated team of young men and/or ladies. Through their charity No More Poverty (nmp.org), Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi will provide the funds needed for new jerseys or sports equipment.

Players or coaches should present 500 words or less introducing their team and its players and conveying how NMP’s support would help. Submit your story on the No More Poverty Facebook page – and make sure to “like” us while you’re there. You have two weeks; the deadline for submissions is Friday, August 17th with the selection to be announced soon thereafter.

“The positive effects of playing competitive sports are well documented,” says Julian Omidi, No More Poverty’s co-founder. “Young people are positively impacted on all levels — emotional, physical and social — through sports. Organized sports, like football, promote positive things such as unity, teamwork and camaraderie. And even more importantly, team sports help develop critical character traits and lifelong values that produce confident, motivated young people primed for success.”

No More Poverty (nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization (with a pending 501c3 application) founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to provide novel solutions to alleviate poverty in the United States and abroad. NMP’s focus is increasing long-term sustainability through grants and business development that create jobs and commerce in disenfranchised areas.
