The No More Poverty charity of the week is Drop in the Bucket. For every like on Facebook/nmp.org, the Omidi brothers, Julian Omidi and Michael Omidi will donate a dollar to the charity.

Julian Omidi and his brother Michael Omidi are featuring Drop In the Bucket as the No More Poverty (nmp.org) Charity of the Week. Please help to ensure that this charity’s life-saving water and sanitation work in East Africa continues strong. For every person who “Likes” No More Poverty’s Facebook page this week, the Omidi brothers will donate one dollar to Drop In the Bucket. Help get the word out. Post this offer on Facebook and coordinate with friends and family. The more “likes” for No More Poverty’s page, the more money this wonderful charity receives.

“My brother and I want to maximize the base of support for Drop in the Bucket,” states No More Poverty’S co-founder Julian Omidi. “A main reason for establishing No More Poverty is the promotion of terrific charities truly making a difference for the world; that is what our Charity of the Week Facebook promotion is about. My brother Michael and I are happy to increase our support of Drop in the Bucket and its programs for clean, healthy water. ”

Since 2006, Drop in the Bucket has been working with villages in Uganda and South Sudan to drill wells and construct sanitation facilities. They employ local training teams to engage communities and address complex issues associated with local water systems and introduce community sanitation and hygiene initiatives. And, believing education is one of the most effective ways of moving a country out of poverty, Drop in the Bucket introduces social programs such as Village Savings and Loan Associations, Girl’s Clubs, and Health Clubs to poor communities.

No More Poverty (nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization (with a pending 501c3 application) founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to soon expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas.
