Drop in the Bucket thanks No Poverty and co-founders Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi for their support of its life-saving health and education work in East Africa.

Drop in the Bucket is appreciative of the support of No More Poverty (nmp.org), and its co-founders the Omidi brothers, Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi. The water and sanitation charity will now be able to serve more of the estimated 800 million people around the globe who lack access to clean, safe water.

“In addition to addressing the most basic of life needs – clean water – our teams in Uganda and South Sudan go on to foster improvements in child health and education systems,” says John Travis on behalf of Drop in the Bucket. “Thank you No More Poverty for helping us to continue our work in East Africa. We appreciate people like the Omidis whose support empowers our team and its life-saving work.”

No More Poverty (nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization (with a pending 501c3 application) founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to soon expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas.

Join us in the fight for No More Poverty. Suggestions for worthy partners in the fight for No More Poverty are welcome. No More Poverty does not accept monetary support, but instead encourages direct donations to the charities featured on nmp.org. For more information, please visit Facebook/nmp.org or nmp.org.

About Drop in the Bucket:
Since 2006, Drop in the Bucket has been working with villages in East Africa to drill wells and construct sanitation facilities. They employ local training teams to engage communities and address complex issues associated with local water systems and introduce community sanitation and hygiene initiatives. And, believing education is one of the most effective ways of moving a country out of poverty, Drop in the Bucket introduces social programs such as Village Savings and Loan Associations, Girl’s Clubs, and Health Clubs to poor communities.
