No More Poverty cofounders Dr. Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi are sponsors of “Harmonized Pairings,” a gala evening that will raise funds to support the meal program of Martha’s Kitchen. The charity, having already served 2.5 million hot and hearty meals, is focused on a goal of giving away one million meals every four years.

No More Poverty and cofounders Julian Omidi and Dr. Michael Omidi encourages those interested in helping the homeless and hungry to attend Martha’s Kitchen’s fundraising gala, “Harmonized Pairings”. The event will help the organization continue its 32 year tradition of feeding the hungry in the greater San Jose area of California. The event is titled “Harmonized Pairings” and will take place on Friday, October 4th at the San Jose Airport Garden Hotel.
“Martha’s Kitchen has provided the San Jose community an invaluable service for many decades under the tagline: Feeding the Hungry with Dignity,” according to Julian Omidi, cofounder of No More Poverty. “Harmonized Pairings is sure to be a fun, elegant and successful evening. We are happy to help sponsor the event.. No More Poverty encourages others to give what they can to this extraordinary charity.”
Martha’s Kitchen (http://www.marthas-kitchen.org) began as a modest endeavor in 1981, with volunteers handing out peanut butter sandwiches out of founder Louise Benson’s garage. Since then, more than 2,500,000 hot and nutritious meals have been served at the Sacred Heart Church in San Jose, California and 20 partner sites throughout Santa Clara and Merced counties. The kitchen is named after Martha, from the Bible’s New Testament, who unfailingly offered hot meals to Jesus and his band of followers on their frequent journeys.
The “Harmonized Pairings” event will be held:
Friday, October 4, 2013 from 6-11 p.m.
at the San Jose Airport Garden Hotel
Tickets are still available for $125 per person at http://www.marthas-kitchen.org or by calling the charity office at 408.293.6111. For those unable to make the event, donations are still encouraged and will help Martha’s Kitchen reach its goal of preparing over one million meals every four years!
