Raphael House is grateful for the contributions of No More Poverty and co-founders Michael Omidi, MD and Julian Omidi. The additional support will help Raphael House continue its 40 year tradition of offering solutions to homelessness and poverty for at-risk families in the San Francisco Bay Area.

No More Poverty (nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization with a pending 501(c)3 application founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. About Raphael House
Raphael House (http://www.raphaelhouse.org) was established in 1971 as the first shelter in San Francisco to exclusively support homeless women and their children. By 1976 the charity had broadened its mission to include all family members. Today’s mission is to help at-risk families achieve stable housing and financial independence while strengthening family bonds and personal dignity. In 2011, the charity served 1,072 individuals who were at-risk or experienced homelessness through its Residential Shelter, AfterCare/ChildReach, and Housing First programs. It also served 40,578 meals and totaled 13,526 bed nights.
Financial support for Raphael House comes solely from individuals, businesses and corporations, foundations and community organizations that are committed to promoting stability for at-risk families. By enlisting support from the community for its work, Raphael House sets in motion a cycle of renewal for families that need support. In the past 40 years, Raphael House has sheltered more than 19,000 children and parents.
