The foundation is a non-profit community organization that provides fundamental services such as tutoring, housing assistance, and recreational opportunities to needy children and families.
“Many of the children we serve have never been out of the dangerous inner-city environment. They have never seen the ocean, visited Disneyland, and certainly never been to a mountain camp setting,” says Francesca McCaffery, Director of Development for Children’s Life Saving Foundation. “We recognized quickly how transforming these experiences are for children. We so appreciate the support of No More Poverty and it co-founders Michael Omidi, MD and Julian Omidi as it will help us continue to care for young people in this truly life-changing way.”
About No More Poverty No More Poverty (nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization with a pending 501(c)3 application founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to soon expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas.

About the Children’s Lifesaving FoundationThe Children’s Lifesaving Foundation (childrenslifesaving.org) is a non-profit dedicated to positively transforming the lives of at-risk, low-income, and homeless children and families. The harsh urban environment of Los Angeles takes an indisputable toll on economically-deprived children who suffer emotional, psychological, and often physical harm. Since 1993, the foundation has served more than 50,000 children and 1,000s of homeless and low-income families through four collaborative programs:
- Educational –tutoring, school supply drives, and college preparation services. (Having given away more than 40 college scholarships!)
- Camp Enrichment – fun, recreational outdoor opportunities that get the children out of their dangerous, inner-city environment to visit the ocean/beach, Disneyland, or a beautiful mountain setting.
- Adopt-A-Family –sponsors partner with a homeless family to help them get out of a shelter, find a job, pay for food and utilities, and more.
- Holiday Gift Drive – bags of presents are donated and distributed to homeless and needy children and families.
