The Omidi brothers, through their charity No More Poverty, are donating 1000 pounds of linen for a multi-charity effort to distribute warm blankets to help people experiencing homelessness.

No More Poverty and its co-founders Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi are organizing a blanket drive to benefit the people experiencing homeless in Los Angeles.

“This is an awesome, tangible opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of people in our own community who are struggling,” says Julian Omidi, co-founder of No More Poverty. “This is a cooperative effort for No More Poverty, and we are thrilled to join with these charitable organizations with a heart to provide warmth and comfort to those in need.”

No More Poverty will join with volunteers to distribute donated blankets at one of the oldest and well-established organizations serving Skid Row in Los Angeles:

The Midnight Mission (http://www.midnightmission.org) has offered a bridge to self-sufficiency for the homeless with counseling, education, training and job placement for more than 99 years.

No More Poverty (http://www.nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization (with a pending 501(c)3 application) founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas.
