“Well done,” is the exhortation from No More Poverty and cofounders Dr. Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi as they announce their support of Tomchei Shabbos, an organization providing assistance to Jewish families in need.

Julian Omidi and his brother Michael Omidi, cofounders of No More Poverty, are new supporters of the Los Angeles-based Jewish charity, Tomchei Shabbos. Serving the Jewish community of southern California for more than 35 years, Tomchei Shabbos provides kosher food deliveries and financial assistance to families in need.
“Everyone, at one time or another, needs a helping hand and Tomchei Shabbos provides families enduring financial hardships the immediate relief they need to get back on their feet,” says Julian Omidi, No More Poverty cofounder. “No More Poverty is extremely proud to support this wonderful organization.”
On a Thursday evening before Shabbat in 1977, three Rabbis delivered boxes of food to several Los Angeles families who were struggling financially. By 1980, the Rabbis were making weekly grocery deliveries to more than 60 families. This spark of charity ultimately became the flame of Tomchei Shabbos (Supporters of the Sabbath), an organization that every year provides help to more than 1,500 Jewish families in need with free food, clothing and job search assistance.
Tomchei Shabbos (http://www.tomcheishabbos.org) provides Kosher food distribution as well as a wide variety of social services. Donations to this amazing organization are welcomed and encouraged by clicking on the enclosed link https://tomcheishabbos.org/contribute/donate/. Every dollar donated will be used to help a family in need.
No More Poverty (http://www.nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization (with a pending 501(c)3 application) founded by brothers Dr. Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas.
