No More Poverty and co-founders Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi support the Children’s Life Saving Foundation, a Los Angeles based community program that aids homeless families and children.
Children’s Life Saving FoundationNo More Poverty and its co-founders, Dr. Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi are pleased to support the Children’s Life Saving Foundation, a non-profit community organization that provides fundamental services such as tutoring, housing assistance, and recreational opportunities to needy children and families. Their programs go beyond addressing basic necessities of the family; they also provide fun activities and nature trips to help children reach their full and best potential.
“The Children’s Lifesaving Foundation does a tremendous job of helping to alleviate poverty and despair in the Los Angeles area,” says No More Poverty’s co-founder Michael Omidi, MD. “Their programs address basic needs such as housing and education as well as recreational opportunities and gift drives. This broad spectrum of attention and assistance is very effective in offering hope to families in need. Julian and I are happy to support the foundation’s efforts.”
The Children’s Lifesaving Foundation(childrenslifesaving.org) is a non-profit dedicated to positively transforming the lives of at-risk, low-income, homeless children and families. The harsh urban environment of Los Angeles takes an indisputable toll on economically deprived children who suffer emotional, psychological, and often physical harm. Since 1993, the foundation has served more than 50,000 children and 1,000s of homeless and low-income families through four collaborative programs:
- Educational –tutoring, school supply drives, and college preparation services. (Having given away more than 40 college scholarships!)
- Camp Enrichment – fun, recreational outdoor opportunities that get the children out of their dangerous, inner-city environment to visit the ocean/beach, Disneyland, or a beautiful mountain setting.
- Adopt-A-Family –sponsors partner with a homeless family to help them get out of a shelter, find a job, pay for food and utilities, and more.
- Holiday Gift Drive – bags of presents are donated and distributed to homeless and needy children and families.
No More Poverty (nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization with a pending 501(c)3 application founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to soon expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas.
