Hands for Hope is grateful for No More Poverty’s sponsorship of its Parents Resource Fair in May. Dr. Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi, co-founders of No More Poverty, are happy to provide assistance and resources to single parents struggling with financial issues.

Hands for Hope offers the Omidi brothers and No More Poverty their thanks for supporting the Parent Resource Fair event to be held in North Hollywood in May. The Fair is for parents wishing to gain tools and guidance that will enable them to further their educations, find jobs, improve their credit, or just meet new people.

“Most single parents and some two parent households are challenged with having one sole provider for their family and may have a hard time paying bills on time and maintaining their homes and cars,” says Lydia Floyd, Executive Director for Hands for Hope. “In some situations they may be recovering from a divorce or in debt with or without alimony or child support. This is where we can help, and we are thrilled to have the support of No More Poverty. With their help, we anticipate a successful and enjoyable event.”

The Parent Resource Fair features a variety of information and service booths offering guidance on a multitude of subjects, including continuing education, debt relief, finding a job, purchasing a home and childcare. The fair also offers child sitting services so that the parents can take full advantage of the booths and events.

Hands for Hope is a North Hollywood youth center dedicated to providing single parents and kids a supportive environment in which to learn life skills and develop creative talents. Programs include college and career planning for teenagers, health and wellness courses, art exploration and life skills development.

The Parent Resource Fair will take place:

Saturday, May 18, from 11am-1pm
First Baptist Church of North Hollywood
11210 Otsego Street
North Hollywood, California 91601
