Swords to Plowshares expresses its appreciation for the support of No More Poverty and co-founders Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi.
More veterans will receive much needed housing, healthcare, and job assistance thanks to the support of Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi, co-founders of No More Poverty.
Swords to Plowshares offers the most comprehensive model of care for veterans in the country through advocacy, housing programs, and job assistance. Last year, the non-profit provided employment services for 527 veterans, helped 138 into transitional housing, and assisted 365 with legal counsel and claims assistance to medical care and benefits they’ve earned. The organization’s mission is to heal the wounds, restore dignity, hope, and self-sufficiency to all veterans in need.
“We are very appreciative of the Omidi brothers’ support, which enables us to help homeless, low-income and at-risk veterans find pathways to recovery,” says Michael Blecker, Executive Director at Swords to Plowshares. “The cultural, educational, psychological and economic barriers veterans face can be overwhelming and debilitating. Our mission is to break down those barriers for our veterans. Thanks to the Omidis and No More Poverty because we rely on our community of support and they help us help veterans.”

No More Poverty (nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization with a pending 501(c)(3) application founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi.The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies.
