Children Today (http://www.childrentoday.org) was founded by working mothers Theresa Bixby and Jennifer Fitzgerald- after they saw an infant wandering along a street in Long Beach, California with no parent in sight. The organization advocates for the needs of children in a system that typically sees homelessness as an adult problem.
The goal of Children Today is simple – to increase the safety, stability and confidence of children facing homelessness and provide quality early care and education programs absolutely free of charge.
