Danette Neisinger began Mama D’s Sober Living Home with the goal of providing a safe and non-judgmental environment for people working towards leading healthy, sober lives. The shelter provides weekly 12-step meetings, full kitchen and laundry facilities, cable television, and internet access.
The home has 28 beds and caters to men, women and children. Everyone staying at the home is required to fully participate in their own recovery by attending regular self-help meetings and mandatory house meetings. Mama D’s is located in Riverside County, California, and is a comfortable distance from shopping centers, public transportation, restaurants, and Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous resources.
